I was pleased to attend NCAI’s Winter Session 2024 in Washington DC as the Native Action Network ambassador. I was able to engage with influential congress and NCAI women leaders.
Throughout our discussions, the NAN team emphasized the critical need to amplify the voices of Native women in Washington State, and underscored the importance of sustained partnerships to advance our collective goals. These interactions have reinforced my belief in the power of advocacy and collaboration to effect meaningful change.
Participating in this event has deepened my appreciation for the role of women leaders, particularly Native women, in shaping narratives and driving progress. Witnessing their resilience and determination has inspired me to continue carving a clear direction of my career goals to uplift and serve Tribal communities.
I am grateful for the guidance provided by Native Action Network. Their support has been instrumental in empowering me to navigate these spaces and advocate effectively for the issues that matter most to Native women. They have taught me the positive impact Native women bring to leadership positions and will continue to bring for generations.
